After being to two of the Manchester Community parties with my partner I can't let them go by uncommented.
I have had the privilege of being to several different clubs around the UK and a number of private parties as well. What the has come together between the Community party and Bitter Rose is something that I have not experienced before in more than a few years of kicking around the scene.
There is an atmosphere which is entirely unthreatening but instead has warmth and friendliness that makes it comfortable for not only experienced folks but also "newbies" (although I hate that word) to relax and enjoy themselves. There is very little, if any posing (I know I get keep being told I am an exhibitionist) going on...just fun all round.
The party on Saturday was the most I have enjoyed myself in a long time. It seemed that each piece of kit that Mitch had provided was being played on at one stage or another. In addition to that delightful sound of leather on skin, the guys at the bar provided the most amazing food (I normally only take one tart home from a party but I felt obliged to take several of the lemon ones as well this time). What fabulous fun was had by all.
