| By Simon on Sun 7 Oct 2001 at 22:18 | Billed as an Absolution replacement and being within spitting distance of MK, the TNT event looked like a promising evening of entertainment so we loaded up the car and headed out.
A 25 minute drive later and after the usual scratching of heads trying to locate a new venue, we parked close by and walked up the stairs into a venue converted from a small warehouse or industrial unit. This has given the organisers a lot of room to play with and they've put some thought and effort into the layout of the place. No less than 3 playrooms/areas, a dungeon area, a large seating area and a smallish dance floor with a cushioned area for more people. There were a number of sofas and other comfortable seats for those too tired to stay upright.
Due to licensing restrictions there was no bar, so you had to get organised and take your own to be stored at the venue. Some people may be put off by the lack of bar, but if you get organised and take your own, you have a much cheaper night out.
There was no DJ with the fairly good music being provided by CDs. Doesn't stack up to a decent DJ, but on the other hand it's better than the average DJ. Anyway I enjoyed myself on the dance floor and had an excellent evening out.
On the whole I thought it was a better evening than most of the fetish events I've been to, but perhaps not so much fun for people who are just interested in getting wasted on the dance floor. Still, if you want to dance yourself into heat stroke at a fetish event, you aren't likely to find what you're looking for outside of London and TG.
It was a relaxed atmosphere and as far as I could tell most people seemed to enjoy it as a chance to meet up with familiar people and strangers alike and dress up for a night out.
Talking of meeting up with familiar strangers, a special hi to ophelia and Goldenwulf. Nice to meet up with somebody from the Net, especially when they introduce you to their own interests!

| By Denny on Mon 12 Nov 2001 at 22:44 | For those who hadn't noticed them in the events listing yet, TnT are back as promised. Their next event is on the 25th of January 2002 (a little later than they had originally hoped).
I went to the last one (reviewed above) and would definitely say it was worth checking out - people were friendly, and there was a lot of action going on if that's your thing - I enjoyed watching :)
The dancefloor was a bit disappointing, with the sound system a bit underpowered, but that wasn't really the main focus of the evening, and it was good enough to dance to if you were in the mood to dance anyway.
This time round the TnT crew have persuaded Fettered Pleasures to supply the dungeon furniture, so that should be well worth seeing / climbing aboard - FP are gaining a very good name for themselves in the BDSM scene recently.
Me and my friends will certainly try to retrace our tracks to Dunstable again in January... perhaps we'll see some new faces there as well as some we know...?
