Pleasure Seekers sought for ITV documentaryRequest

An ITV documentary - Pleasure Seekers (going out around 10pm sometime in early 2002) is looking for people to take part. The series explores the 'alternative' (what 'joe bloggs' would consider alternative!) ways that people seek out and receive pleasure - it takes a positive, upbeat, non-judgemental tone as is indicated in the title - it's about pleasure, not problems. As it is a documentary series, we follow the contributors personal journey, which gives people a chance to show a new audience how and why they gain pleasure from what they do.

I'd like to say that i know and have filmed with many people on the BDSM and other 'alternative sexual scenes; Alan from whatsyours.com, Captain Zip of SMPride, Barry of SMPride, The Mayflower Girls (- tv/ts group) and many people on the swinging scene amongst others can all vouch for the integrity and representative nature of the programmes in this series and others that I've made in the past along these lines (Secret Suburbia for Sky, and Digital Sex for Channel 4 for instance).

Pleasure Seekers is a 6 part series. We've finished 5 of the programmes, and we've already filmed a story that makes up half of the last programme - we filmed a couple who enjoy fantasy roleplay, dressing up in rubber and light SM. I'd be very interested to talk to anyone else who is into these
things, or any other fantasy role play and/or any other kind of dressing up or fetish - sexual or non-sexual (- ie i am also interested in Victorian, vampire), with a view to filming this person/couple to make up the second half of this programme.

The fact that ITV have commissioned this series indicates just how mainstream this subject is now perceived. We want to get to know our contributors and they need to be happy being filmed as they are in everyday life as well as dressed up. The series is narrative driven as opposed to event driven and therefore we need open, articulate people with a good sense of humour. We need to film lots of what we call 'actuality', as opposed to just sit down interviews, otherwise the viewer will be bored if the programme is just someone sitting down talking for 15 mins! Actuality can
be anything from making a cup of coffee, meeting up with friends, buying clothes, to getting dressed for a roleplay or light roleplaying itself. If you are interested in being filmed, you might like to think of what kind of
activities, hobbies etc you do that you would be happy for us to potentially film.

Perhaps you would be interested to talk further with me, or put the word around that we are looking for contributors? Any contact would of course be in confidence, and we could pay contributors we end up filming a fee for their time. This fee is open to negotation, depending on loss of earnings, and the length of time filming takes, but would be in the region of £200 for a few days of your time. My absolute deadline to find people , meet them and set up all filming is Friday 16th November, so I need to speak to anyone interested asap. Filming would involve 2-4 days, and would commence the week beginning 19th November. Filming could be spread out over 2-3 weeks, to fit in around your availability.

Authenticity#1

I received this one by email, and cut and paste it to the site - the email address and phone number seem genuine, so I'm pretty convinced it's for real.

If you do get in touch with them, let us know how it went afterwards! Also, let them know you saw the request here... it might encourage them to come back when they're filming again :)

Regards,
Denny

Which doesn't make anything I say any more likely to make sense.
