Goddess is a club run for women by women. It is situated in Walthamstow, London - an easy enough place to find. It was a bit disconcerting to park in a side road noting a car with part of the front removed which did leave one wondering whether the car would still be intact - but that comes from living out in the counties for to long. Parking was very easy.
I reserved tickets through an email two days previously - the reply was friendly and inviting. I didn't release it at the time, but it would have been better to have pre-paid tickets of £15, rather than the price on the door which was £18.
The ladies loo provided adequate changing room - though only just when wriggling into latex clothes. The club itself is held in a wine bar which consists of two main rooms, one primarily for drinking/talking and the other a small play room with a couple of play items.
The resident slaves are an added feature to the environment, certainly one that any Domme would appreciate. Maids outfit, hands behind the back handcuffed together with a tray hanging round the neck filled with various tip bits. The maid wondered from guest to guest offering the wares - a very intricate touch to the environment. It certainly lead my imagination to wonder, to have several maids running around in own home, - to sit back and watch, they're there to command - what a lovely thought!
The bar staff were friendly though appeared somewhat bemused about the evening. It didn't appear right that they did not fit into the fetish theme, which would have added to ambiance.
A small area was cornered off with curtains hanging from the ceiling, but it seemed that a couple of people could sit in there but not much else.
Goddess is a small, warm and friendly environment, very safe for women. It's an ideal place for people who are relatively new to bdsm, or wanting a casual night out dressed in not to revealing fetish wear. Although play did take place, it did not resemble the heavier play that takes place in other clubs, and what little equipment was there, was easily accessible. For myself and play partner, the club was to limiting in terms of our requirements, preferring places with solid furniture and more action. Play is the reason why we go to clubs - consequently was left a little disappointed, felt that the club was restricting and wouldn't be going back again.
