Absolution held their first St Albans event last week, at a venue called Spritzers. Another good night was had by most fetishists at this event. Due to this being the first Absolution to be held at Spritzers, there were a few Spritzer regulars (and others) at the event that didn't conform to the dress code. This did, in my opinion, lead to a less carefree and more inhibitted atmosphere amongst us fetish people. As far as I could see, the few pieces of dungeon equipment were used for the 'regulars' to sit and chat on as oppose to being put to their intended use of fetish frivolity.
The music was fairly good (although, in all fairness, I'm not 100% into dance/trance music so my opinion on this may not be too valuable!). I judge the quality of the DJs by how long they keep me dancing for. I danced for a few hours - but I danced all night at the previous Absolution...
On this occassion the Absolution team cornered off a section of the bar area (with a cage and black cloth wall) to create a dungeon, but I understand that they have plans for a different dungeon area if the event is held at Spritzers again. The team weren't able to provide a playroom on this night either but I believe that there will be a play room the next time an Absolution event is held at Spritzers.
Considering this was the first event to be held at this venue I think that it was a job well done by both the Absolution team and the Spritzers staff. Perhaps next time the 'regulars' will pay attention to the dress code... With a few alterations and additions this could prove a very sucessfull venue for the Absolution fetish nights. I will definately go if another Absolution night is held here.
For those of you that are interested, the next Absolution event is on Saturday 19 May and is back at the old Absolution haunt - The Monastery, Fenny Stratford, Milton Keynes.
